Maternal Screen-1st Trimester Dual Marker Test
This prenatal screening test measures maternal serum levels of free beta-hCG and PAPP-A during the first trimester. Combined with ultrasound findings and maternal age, it assesses the risk of chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome (Trisomy 21) and Trisomy 18. The test aids in early risk stratification and informed prenatal decision-making.
A double marker test is a pregnancy test prescribed in the first trimester. The test is used to understand the possibility of the foetus developing chromosomal defects, chiefly Down syndrome. Please note that it is only a predictive test. In other words, it doesn’t diagnose but assesses the risk of developing neurological abnormalities. It’s not essential that any abnormal result means there’s a definite risk. Hence, this test is not mandatory, but suggested, especially if you are 35 years or older and pregnant. You can book a double marker test from the comfort of your home. Simply schedule it at your preferred time and our trained phlebotomist will be there to collect the sample. We don’t believe in providing you with a hassling testing experience. Your comfort and health are our priority.
