Lp(a) Lipoprotein(a)

This test measures Lipoprotein(a), a genetically determined lipid particle associated with increased cardiovascular risk. Elevated Lp(a) levels are linked to premature coronary artery disease, stroke, and atherosclerosis. The test is useful for risk stratification, especially in patients with family history of early heart disease.
